Musafir to integrate NDC tech and robotics with Amadeus deal

UAE OTA expands partnership with travel tech provider

UAE online travel agency musafir.com is to integrate NDC technology and robotics with an expansion of its partnership with travel tech firm Amadeus.

The firms say their extended collaboration, between musafir’s corporate travel management tool musafirbiz, will ‘usher in a new era of enhanced traveller benefits and streamlined booking experiences’.

It will use Amadeus' NDC [X] program in a bid to improve convenience and offer personalised services to its customers.

In addition to offering rich content, the integration enables the creation of tailored bundles for customers, catering to their specific needs and preferences. For example, frequent business travellers can be offered customised packages with preferred seating options.

Dynamic pricing strategies available through the integration will allow the OTA to offer flexible pricing offers and make adjustments in real-time.

Amadeus’ Fare Optimizer robot, which constantly monitors airfares from booking to departure, is also to be rolled out to musafir. Amadeus says this tool can identify cost saving opportunities and alerts for rebooking or queue placement.

Automated scanning and automatic rebooking and personalised tailored recommendations can also now be offered to musafir customers using Amaeus technology.
